The VCA Research Clusters are centred around a research theme and involve membership across the various discipline areas of the VCA Schools and Centres, and more broadly across the University and beyond. They represent research areas of critical mass in the VCA and contribute to an interdisciplinary collaborative research environment.

The Creative Arts Therapies Research Unit (CATRU) aims to support the further development of creative arts therapy disciplines in Melbourne and wider Australia through research and research training.
Centre for Ideas
The Centre for Ideas marks a radical departure from the conventional teaching models in arts education. It embraces the whole Faculty providing a range of perspectives on contemporary culture.
The VCA & MCM Research Office is a professional unit within the Faculty that provides a range of services and support to research staff and graduate research students.
